Our first adventure together began when we worked for the NGO East African Playgrounds in the summer of 2018. Since then we have travelled together through over twelve countries, on top of our independent trips and expeditions. We believe in ethical, sustainable and respectful travel, that there is always something to be seen and kindness everywhere you go. Though we have had our fair share of misadventures along the way, that's half the fun.
Who Are We?
Megan was born in Devon but now lives in the Scottish Borders. She is a trained teacher and has been travelling long term since 2015 in that time visiting over fifty countries and four continents. Some of the things she is proud to have achieved are: having kayaked the length of Lake Kivu (one of Africa's Great Lakes), climbing the Volcanic Mt Nyriagongo in the Democratic Republic of Congo and rafting some of the worlds wildest rivers from the Upper Seti in Nepal to the Zambezi in Zimbabwe and the Pacuare in Costa Rica.
Julie was born and still lives near to Oslo in Norway, she is an avid skier and stand up paddle-boarder. When she's not busy advising other people on getting the most out of their adventures, Julie is taking advantage of the incredible outdoor opportunities her country has to offer from rock climbing to hammock camping. Julie is most proud of: climbing to the rock hewn churches of Abuna Yemata Guh and feeding wild hyena in Ethiopia, kayaking the rapids of the Nile in Uganda and and bouldering in Jordan's Wadi Rum desert.
